Biography

Mark Farris maintains a broad civil litigation practice, and has represented a wide array of clients in state and federal courts across Texas and in other jurisdictions around the nation. He has extensive experience in a variety of litigation matters, including construction defects, complaints involving AC corrosion/AC interference, business and commercial disputes, toxic torts, asbestos matters, premises defects, electrical and gas utility liability, and personal injury cases.

Mark is a trial lawyer with a broad base of trial and litigation experience acquired over nearly 20 years of practice. During that time, he has represented clients ranging from individuals, to small business start-ups, to Fortune 500 companies. In addition, Mark has developed a strong insurance defense practice, defending matters arising out of Commercial General Liability and Property policies, including construction, vehicle, premises liability, and third-party personal injury claims.

Education

Mark received his J.D. in 1994 from Baylor University School of Law. Mark also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Baylor, where he studied economics and graduated with honors in 1991.

Personal

Mark originally hails from the Texas Rio Grande Valley, but has lived and worked in Austin for more than a decade. He and his wife, Kellie, have three children. Mark regularly can be found coaching his kids' youth sports teams and enjoys woodworking, hunting, fishing, and running at Lady Bird Lake with his family.
